Checklist: Packing for Destination Wedding
Last Updated on January 14, 2021 by Team Styl.
When we say “Destination Wedding it is!” we all know it is going to be beautiful and so much fun. But amidst all that, a bride has to figure out all the things she needs to pack with her because when D-Day arrives she won’t be able to go back home to get what slipped her mind at the last moment. As the bride has enough stress from all the things around her, we want to lessen some of her burdens by giving them a checklist for all the big to the smallest things you would or might need for your destination wedding.
Here are some of the most important and basic necessities you would need to pack for a destination wedding!
1. Important Documents
As most of the couples leave for their honeymoon right after their wedding. The most important things are your IDs and documents for tickets. So pack them in a document organizer with some cash and your debit/credit card.
2. Semi-formal comfy wear
After wearing a heavy ensemble in the whole ceremony, one needs comfortable clothes for the rest of the duration of the day. Trendy yet comfortable Kurtis are a girl’s best friend on a sunny day. So remember to pack a few pair.
3. Saree is forever
As we know nothing says more Indian than a 9-yard saree. You can wear them at Mehendi or even the Haldi ceremony. So pack silk and easy-breezy cotton depending upon the temperature of the destination.
4. Anarkali Love
One can see a trend when it’s all over the city. These beautiful anarkalis are something that one absolutely has to have in their wardrobe. From heavily studded to minimalist work, you see them with cold shoulder, off-shoulder, high-neck, and even jacket style. These are the best things to wear for your engagement.
5. Your Bling: Jewellery, Accessories
In all the packing hustle don’t forget your bling. It is the most important part which completes the whole look. So, pack them in their velvet-lined cases so that they don’t move around.
6. Casual Clothes for travelling the destination
When people pack for a destination wedding, they often forget their regular wear amidst packing all the bling. So girls, never forget your go-to clothes.
7. Loungers are Life
When it’s time to go bed after a long day of festivities, a girl needs her simple, cozy, and trusted loungers to sleep in. But we don’t say that you can’t keep some of those silk-satin ones in your travel-case for your honeymoon. And pack a long robe to wear when you are getting your hair and make-up done so that doesn’t put any specs on your outfit.
8. Heels, Heels, Heels!
A girl can never have enough pairs of shoes. So, when it’s time to limit those, a girl faces a dilemma. Let us help. Aside from your wedding day heels, you need to pair-up your stilettos with a cocktail/party dress, embellished juttis for Sangeet/Mehendi. When it’s time to let loose and dance for a bit, keep your trusted flats around. And a pair of simple kitten heels for all the occasions you need to go about.
9. Don’t Forget Make-up!
Even though you would get your make-up done by make-up artists on many days, there would be days when you would need to do it by yourself. Or even to give a touch-up if something goes wrong after you leave the parlor. So, keep your kit handy and ready to roll. Don’t forget a suntan lotion with high SPF!
10. The all-in-one Tote Bag
Well, when you are a bride you have to carry around so many trinkets. So keep a big tote bag where you can stuff things easily and carry them around. It is the best bag for a destination wedding to put in all the essentials. One of the important things to notice is that you keep all the necessary medications if you have any and some pain-killers, antibiotics, antacids, pins, hair-brush, perfume/deodorant, and wet-wipes with you in your tote or in your travel case.
Well, girls, these are the major things one needs to pack for the travel. You can add or remove the things as per your destination. As everyone knows lingerie is a given, no-one forgets that! For any further queries or to get styled reach us at STYL-INC.
