In such a case, just hand over your jewellery to someone trustworthy before the ceremony begins. However, most of your thought must go into the outfit. Every culture in India has different customs for what the bride and groom wear to the Haldi ceremony. Additionally, newer wedding trends also play role in deciding the outfit. The most important thing to remember, however, is comfort. This is an outfit that you will not wear again. So, we suggest you go for a lightweight saree, sharara set or lehenga. Opt for easy breezy fabrics that will not bother you should things get messier than expected. Avoid fabrics like polyester and silk at all costs.
