Names: Khushbu & Lokesh
Background: A couple looking to blend traditional elegance with modern couture in their dream destination wedding
Event: Royal fort wedding at Bishangarh Fort, Rajasthan
Khushbu reached out to us in January for her November destination wedding at Bishangarh Fort. She and Lokesh wanted their wedding styling to reflect the venue’s regal grandeur. However, there was uncertainty about silhouettes, colors, and how to maintain aesthetic cohesion between both bridal and groom looks.
Styling Needs: Royal, elegant styling to match the grandeur of a heritage fort wedding
Time Constraints: Final fittings occurred close to the wedding, with no room for error
Personal Preferences:
Khushbu was undecided between a lehenga or saree
She explored both red and pastel tones
Lokesh envisioned a regal, princely groom look
Khushbu’s journey began with experimentation—trying sarees, lehengas, and various color palettes. Though sarees held a special place in her heart, we recommended a lehenga for its structured grandeur, especially suited for a majestic fort wedding. Together, we explored silhouettes and color options until she felt most confident and bridal.
Khushbu fell in love with a pastel pink lehenga from Manish Malhotra, but we didn’t stop at off-the-rack. Her lehenga was completely customized to match her vision, skin tone, and body type.
Here’s how we brought her dream to life:
Color Exploration:
She tried 3–4 shades of pink. We narrowed it down to two tones, created fabric swatches, and finalized a soft pastel pink that beautifully flattered her complexion.
Embroidery Customization:
We created a CAD design combining embroidery elements from one lehenga and color inspiration from another, crafting something truly one-of-a-kind.
Silhouette & Fit:
The design was tailored to her proportions—offering structure, movement, and a regal feel without overwhelming her frame.
Manish Malhotra Collaboration:
Our long-standing relationship with the designer’s team allowed for a rare level of customization. Every step—from sketch to stitch—was monitored closely with their atelier. Khushbu was nervous about the outcome, but we assured her of a flawless finish.
Final Fitting:
The outfit arrived shortly before the wedding, so perfection was non-negotiable—and that’s exactly what we achieved.
We styled her bridal jewelry from Purab Paschim, selecting pieces that complemented her lehenga’s neckline and added a traditional yet refined touch. The final look was romantic, sophisticated, and bridal in every sense.
Lokesh was clear—he wanted a timeless, royal, and traditional wedding look.
Outfit Selection:
He wore an ivory Sabyasachi sherwani, rich in detail and rooted in elegance.
Styling Elements:
We styled him with traditional accessories and layering to enhance the royal feel while ensuring harmony with Khushbu’s pastel palette.
Result:
Lokesh’s classic ivory sherwani perfectly complemented Khushbu’s romantic lehenga, making them look like a vision straight out of a royal portrait.
For the Garba-themed sangeet night, Khushbu wanted something vibrant, festive, and fluid. While we presented several colorful designer options, she had already fallen in love with a particular couture piece.
Outfit of Choice:
An exclusive couture lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani, known for its signature drapes and craftsmanship. Though steeply priced, she was certain it was the one—and she was right.
Design Features:
Draped dupatta attached to the lehenga, allowing ease of movement for Garba.
Exquisite bead embroidery added richness and flair.
A heavily embroidered blouse brought balance and grandeur to the vibrant aesthetic.
Styling & Accessories:
Statement earrings and a maang tikka from Purab Paschim
Colorful bangles from Babu Churi Wala, tying in the festive Indian aesthetic
This look was the epitome of tradition-meets-fun, fluid for dancing, yet dramatic in style.
To ensure visual harmony across events, we styled Khushbu’s immediate family with the same attention to detail:
Sangeet Look:
A vibrant Tarun Tahiliani outfit that resonated with the celebratory spirit of the night.
Wedding Look:
A timeless ivory Sabyasachi Banarasi saree, paired with a traditional long gold haar for regal elegance. Her desire for a classic Banarasi weave was fulfilled in the most iconic way.
Sangeet Look:
Styled in Tarun Tahiliani with a matching color palette to Khushbu’s, ensuring a coordinated and stylish family visual.
Wedding Look:
Wore an Anita Dongre lehenga with a corset blouse, combining modern cuts with a pastel theme for youthful sophistication.
From vibrant nights to serene ceremonies, the family looked coordinated and stunning—something that reflected beautifully in their photographs, which even went viral online.
Fittings and Adjustments:
Final fittings took place just before the wedding, requiring flawless execution from the start.
Vendor Collaboration:
Our partnership with Manish Malhotra’s team enabled customizations usually not offered. We remained in constant communication to ensure every detail was perfect.
Final Presentation:
From Khushbu’s lehenga to Lokesh’s sherwani and the family’s ensembles, each look was curated to match the grandeur of Bishangarh Fort.
