While the excitement is undeniable, honeymoon packing can surely be a task! It’s one of those trips where you wish to look your best (we all want the best-est of pictures of course) but there’s only so much luggage you can carry. Moreover, let’s be real, carrying your whole wardrobe might seem tempting but it’ll only be a burden for you. So to make it easier here’s a small guide that can surely make packing for the moon much easier.

Once you have your itinerary in place it’ll become much easier for you to visualise your looks and also help you pick things on your next honeymoon shopping trip.

After that start deciding on the kind of looks you want to go for and start pairing the pieces together. Don’t forget to count the number of night suits you’ll be needing! This way you will also have yourself a proper honeymoon checklist so that you don’t miss out on anything.

What to pack

Now that you have a list in hand, here are some outfit ideas you can get inspiration from and decide accordingly. 

Summer dresses

Now assuming you aren’t headed to somewhere cold, summer dresses are essential for your honeymoon packing. You can practically live in them for the whole of your honeymoon and not have to worry about anything else. This is something that’s perfect for a sunny afternoon stroll as well as a small casual dinner. Even if you are planning to head for a beach party then also you can opt for these. So we suggest keeping at least 5 summer dresses in your honeymoon packing list.

Shorts & Tops

Now there also may be days where you just wish to keep it casual because you don’t really have too many plans for the day. You can even opt for a co-ord set which comprises shorts so as to be comfortable while also looking stylish. This sort of an outfit would be perfect if you just wish to go shopping or maybe for an adventure sport like bungee jumping or rappelling. 

Evening dresses

It’s your honeymoon, of course you and your beau will go for a lovely romantic candlelit dinner. And of course you would want to look your best for those cute and mushy photos. So make sure you pack at least 2 evening dresses to make the night even more special. And include it in your honeymoon packing list even if you are not planning for a romantic dinner because you never know it could just be a surprise. Undoubtedly evening dresses are a must. 

Swimsuits

You can’t leave these behind. Again even if you carry two swimsuits that should be enough but we say go to town! No matter where you go – to a tropical warm place or to a cold one, you will need a swimsuit for the pool or the jacuzzi. Moreover they would hardly take any space in your suitcase. 

Must-have accessories while honeymoon packing

Coming to the most important bit in your honeymoon packing because it’s also the most confusing. When deciding on things to carry on your honeymoon, your accessories will probably take up most of the space in your suitcase. However, sadly that wouldn’t be feasible. You cannot possibly carry 10 options for bags. Hence you’ve got to carefully decide on those 2 handbags/slings that you can match with any and every outfit and something that can fit your everyday essentials too. We say going for black, white and nude is always a safe bet.

Apart from bags you have to carry some of your fav jewellery too. However, make sure none of it is expensive. Take a few tid-bits from your jewellery collection that are light, pretty and work with almost anything.

Another important thing to add to your accessories list are hats and sunglasses. While you can carry your favourite pair of sunglasses only, you would need a nice big hat in your bag. Of course, you could go and buy one too but taking one from here would always be a good idea.

Makeup & Skincare

Last but not the least on the honeymoon packing list for bride has to be your makeup and skincare. You have to be extra careful with your makeup. Do not carry any and everything that you have. Make sure whatever you carry is travel size and will not be too much of a hassle to carry. And most importantly, stock up on that SPF! You will need that, trust us.
