In terms of fashion colour trends, the runway showcased a variety of hues. The common thread amongst them all was the level of saturation. It almost seemed like the fashion world was ready for the global cultural and health crisis to be over. The way they chose to express that emotion was through colour. In the designer’s post-pandemic world, dullness has no space. It is all over the top saturated to the point that even white seems like it is shining like a rainbow. Even the Pantone colour predictions put a spotlight on brightness and high saturation. In the midst of all the high drama, however, also lie the more subdued colours that remind us of the ease of summer. Each tangerine contrasts the buttery yellow. White phenomenally contrasts the barbie pink. The spring/summer 2022 colour trends are grounding and fantastical at the same time. But the idea that unites them is the sensation of hope for a world with a better outcome. So, just keep reading to know the spring/summer 2022 colours.

1. Spring/Summer 2022 Colour Trends: Primary Blue

Designers this year took a literal translation of the sky filled with endless dreams and unlimited hope to the runway. Possibly the most prominent colour showcased was a beautiful royal blue. The primary colour was widely played within the Lacoste and Loewe shows. It was not just visible on garments but you can see it on bags, makeup, and footwear.

2. Tangerine Pop

Forget about the pastels you usually associate with spring. The Spring/Summer 2022 colours are all about that pop. Along these lines, a highly popular colour on the runway was tangerine. Seen is different tints and shades of the same bright orange, it was often worn from head to toe. The notable designers who experimented with this popsicle colour were Proenza Schouler, Collina Strada and Christian Siriano. You can wear this colour from head to toe or add contrast with a trendy blue bag.

3. Juicy Lime Green

The muted and calming sage green was the colour of choice in 2021. However, Spring/Summer 2022 colour trends indicate the arrival of its not-so-subtle sister Lime Green. The electric juicy lime green is seriously in demand for 2022. It not only sparks some serious summer joy but also makes sure that you do not get hidden in the crowd. Parabl Gurung, Cinq a Sept and Christian Siriano featured the lively hue on the runway.

4. Buttery Yellow

Is there any way we mention spring/summer 2022 colours and pass along yellow? Absolutely not! Yellow in some shape or form always makes an appearance for the summer palette. 2022’s choice of sunshine was a smooth and relaxing buttery yellow. The soft colour, while on the opposite end of other hues mentioned here, is ideal for you if you do not enjoy too much colour. It is perfect for the minimalists out there who can boldly stand out without the bang of the other colours. It was heavily spotted on the McQueen, Loewe and Chanel runways.

5. Spring/Summer 2022 Colour Trends: Barbie Pink

The spring/summer 2022 colours are all about vibrance and hope. The general theory is that the brighter they are, the better it is. A rather popular colour featured on the runways was bubblegum barbie pink. It is like Legally Blonde times 100. Like with most colours this season, you can wear it head to toe or pair it with contrasting colours. It was quite popularly seen on the Fendi, Tory Burch, Emilia Wickstead and David Koma.

Additionally, brands featured it everywhere from dressier outfits to athleisure and streetwear. The designers who interpreted this lively yet calming colour include Coach, Brandon Maxwell and Jonathan Simkhai amongst others.

8. Iridescent White

You might be wondering, can a classic like white really be considered a trend? The answer is a resounding yes. On the runways this season, white had quite a dominant role to play. Designers showed it off in dreamy over the top dresses and power suits. It was a complete contrast from the dark winter colours, showing a more hopeful outlook overall. Like all the spring/summer 2022 colour trends, white was also styled from head to toe. It was so saturated that it was almost glowing on the runway. However, if you are not sure about the head-to-toe blank canvas look, just add some classic colours and styles to lift your look. We think that a white trend is a perfect break amid all the bright colours of spring/summer.
