If it was any other year, we’d be compiling pictures of the show goers from fashion weeks around the world to predict the biggest street style trends of 2021. However, just like everything we shifted to virtual mediums as well. The stylists at Styl Inc dived into the Instagram feeds of our most favourite fashion bloggers to compile this list of trends that are certain to rule the streets this season. 

Street Style Trends

• Relaxed trousers:

  Bidding adieu to the low-rise skinny jeans is the first step in making your wardrobe ready for the latest street fashion. Relaxed trousers are ruling the trending charts and definitely here to stay, so it’s only smart to invest in one.

• Pink:

  Neutrals have taken a back seat in 2021 and it’s the year of bright colours. However, the ruling one in women’s street fashion has to be bubblegum pink.

Take inspiration from Masoom Minawala and Komal Pandey to wear this street trend from head-to-toe.  

 

• Bold florals:

  In the past few years, muted florals were leading. Anyhow that has changed significantly in the latest street fashion. Think florals of the 80’s; busy patterns and bold colour contrasts.

• Statement sleeves:

  Dramatic sleeves are raging right now. The season’s must-have street trend that can be worn from desk to dinner in a minute. The modern street wear is incomplete without some drama on the sleeves.

• Oversized for street style:

  Play with shapes and silhouettes by inculcating un-tailored clothing in your street wear. The most trendy way to sport this street style is by including an oversized blazer with relaxed trousers for an 80’s inspired look. 

• Coord:

  A matching coordinated set will not only save you from morning hassles but will also always look on point. Coords are hands down our favourite street style trend. 

• Tie and dye:

  A major cool street style, tie and dye is the most fun trend to sport this summer.  However, tie and dye has a modern touch to it in 2021 as opposed to it’s hippie vibe from the 60’s.
