Summer’s Here: Here are Some Hair Cuts for Girls based on Face Shapes that You Can Opt for

Share this:

Change of season demands for a change of hair as well! However, it’s also important when deciding on hair cuts for girls, that you consider your face shape first. The reason for that being the simple fact that the way your hair frames your face can really change your look. Hence ensuring you frame your face correctly is very important. We at Styl-Inc decided to share some haircut ideas for girls to help make it much easier for you to decide on the right cut for your face shape. Fret not! We’ll also make it easier to judge what exactly your face shape is.

Here are some hair cuts for girls to choose from based on their face shapes.

Hair Cuts for Girls with Round Face

Ever heard people telling you that you have a baby face? Well, then chances are you are a round faced person. But don’t let that be the only determinant. You have a round face if there aren’t any prominent lines and angles on your face and the length and width of your face is equal. Now one important fact here is that Oval is considered as the ideal face shape, this is not to say it’s the perfect face shape (all face shapes are beautiful), however oval is considered ideal and versatile. So you ought to opt for a cut that will slightly elongate the face. If you have thick voluminous hair we suggest going for a layered lob, if you wish to keep the hair a bit longer then opt for some layers and steps to add some dimension to your face. A side fringe or a side bob will also suit your face.

Square faces are rather easy to judge. The length and width of the face will be equal on all 4 sides. You might see some prominent angles near your jawline as well as the forehead. Now, for ideal hair cuts for girls with square faces you want something that is soft because you want to balance out the sharp face shape. You could go for some nice textured layers or some nice feathered side bangs to maintain that soft appearance.

Diamond face shape people usually have more prominent cheekbones while the forehead and chin are narrower. It’s suggested to accentuate this face shape rather than balancing it out. So we would recommend going for side-swept bangs or curtain bangs. You could even go for a sleek lob or basically anything that highlights those pretty cheekbones. If you are feeling rather experimental then don’t hesitate and opt for a pixie cut!

Again, the oval face shape is rather versatile so you have a whole lot to play with. You can opt for anything from the safe long layers that will accentuate your face shape to a full fringe that will help shorten the length of your face if that is what you want. If you are looking for cute short hairstyles for girls then a good option would be a layered bob or a side swept pixie cut. You may even go for a long bob with side swept bangs. As we said, oval face shape is pretty versatile and you can pretty much opt for any hair cut.

Heart Face

A wide forehead, prominent cheekbones and narrow chin make for a heart shaped face. When deciding on hair cuts for girls with heart shaped faces you could either accentuate the prominent cheekbones or balance the look with a cut that makes the chin seem wider. For the former you can go for some shoulder length layers with bangs or a short side bob or even a pixie cut. For the latter go for a lob a bit higher than your shoulders so as to make the chin appear wider.

These are just some fun hair cuts for girls that you can experiment with this upcoming summer season. Go ahead and experiment with some colour, balayage or even some heatless styling for your tresses.
