This is an important step in your skincare routine. You must exfoliate your face regularly if you want healthy looking skin. Include this step in your skincare routine right after taking off your makeup and washing your face. You can use mild face scrubs or even use natural exfoliants like baking soda, coffee or finely ground almonds. If you don’t exfoliate your skin, the dead skin cells accumulate over time and clog your pores leading to dull, dirty skin. Exfoliate at least twice a week, avoiding sensitive or pimple prone areas. Follow it up with a gentle toner and a nourishing moisturizer for best results. This will help you remove the layer of dead skin cells, making way for new, and healthy cells. It also lightens the skin, and makes it soft and smooth.

This one is really a no brainer. Never forget to take your makeup off before hitting the bed. In fact, take your makeup off the minute you come back home. Leaving your makeup on for long will lead to clogged pores, which only means dirty, oily and dull skin in the long run. This will also cause random pimples and breakouts which no one wants! To avoid dull and lifesless looking skin, use an alcohol free makeup remover and follow it up with a gentle cleanser. You can choose from the many cream or oil based cleaners available in the markets these days. And don’t forget to moisturize your skin afterwards.
