Kareena chose to imbibe tradition and heritage by wearing the same set. But she chose to update it with the help of ace designer Ritu Kumar. The Bhopali Joda was restored and embellished into a sharara set to fit the 21st century. Kareena’s move to wear an heirloom sharara for her wedding inspired many brides to go for their heritage wedding wear. Many women refurbished their mother’s and grandmother’s outfits for their wedding day, adding more blessings to the big day.
