Follow this pre-wedding hair care regimen and get healthy locks.

Pre-wedding hair care routine

Rice water is a nourishing antioxidant and will make your hair more smooth and shiny. It can also help in healing the skin and you can even add that to your face mask. You can use rice water as an overnight mask or use it as post-shampoo for healthy-looking hair. Adding rice to your hair care routine will help prevent greying and hair fall.

2. Reduce shampooing

All the brides-to-be must take note that over-shampooing can dehydrate and cause damage to your hair. Therefore, you should limit the number of times you’re shampooing your hair. You should even switch to mild and natural shampoos to prevent your hair from getting damaged. Over shampooing can even damage and fade your hair colour.

3. Hydration is the key

You should pay special attention to the diet you’re following before your wedding. You should follow a balanced diet and take multi-vitamins for your skin and body. Add foods such as berries, avocados, greens, eggs, and nuts to your diet.

5. Onion juice to get rid of dandruff

Onions are rich in antioxidants and nourish hair follicles which boost hair growth. It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which help in keeping hair free from dandruff and scalp infections. You can either buy or extract onion juice at home easily. An onion is something that is easily available, and all you need is a blender to make onion juice for hair growth

6. Hot oil hair treatment

How can we not include grandma’s tried and tested natural therapy? Oiling your hair will improve the texture of your hair and keep them healthy. You should always oil your scalp and not your hair. When you oil them heavily, you will have to use double the amount of shampoo of friction to get rid of it. This would further damage your hair and affect the health of your hair.

7. Natural hair masks

The natural and DIY hair masks will do wonders for your hair. Here are some of the masks that we suggest:

  • Egg white and lemon mask hair growth
  • Apple cider vinegar mask for oily hair
  • Banana and egg hair mask for healthy and shiny hair
  • Banana and honey hair mask for dry hair
  • Green tea and egg or coconut for hair growth
  • Detoxify the scalp with coffee masks

Most of these ingredients are always available in our kitchen only. All you have to do is mix the ingredients and create a hair mask. You can add any one of them to your pre-wedding hair care routine.

8. Don’t miss your conditioner

If you cannot head to the salon for a deep conditioning treatment, it’s time you start taking care of them at home. You can even mix yogurt and egg to create an effective DIY conditioner.

9. Choose the right ingredients

Choose the right treatments, products, and ingredients for your hair. If you have dry hair, you should opt for more hydrating ingredients such as aloe vera gel, honey, and avocado oil. Similarly, if you have oily hair, you should pick ingredients according to your hair time. You should look for ingredients that can help in exfoliating and removing the excess oil.
