We all just witnessed another successful year of India couture week. From all our fav celebs to influencers to fav designers were seen being a part of it. We are all definitely keeping our eye out for the next big show-stopper. No doubt we even witnessed some great designs and trends on the ramps. While there were a lot of great outfits and looks we got to see, some of them really stood out. Each designer displayed their new collection that sure left people awestruck. All these collections had something to say and truly all of it was portrayed beautifully.

We here at Styl Inc. too have some of our favourites from the myriad of beautiful designs and designers we saw and we are here presenting some of our top picks. Not only that, we noticed some amazing trends that could definitely make for some good elements for our own outfits. We talk about those trends too. Tarun Tahiliani at Indian Couture Week

A favourite for all those brides out there, Tarun Tahiliani, showcased an amazing bridal collection. The collection is to die for and what really stood out was the attention to the smallest of details. It’s the perfect blend of traditional and modern. The play with colours definitely offers something new to the audience. The collection played around with Chikankari, Kasheedakari, Byzantine art, Persian motifs and Egyptian Jaalis. It doesn’t get better than this right? Sounds rather exquisite which it definitely is. The collection was nothing short of magical. The outfits were almost star-studded!

Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna’s Equinox

Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna’s collection Equinox truly had us stunned. Playing around with the colours of the night sky the collection is aptly named. So the idea behind this collection was to represent the Autumn equinox and hence you can see the play with geometric shapes and patterns. We definitely love the use of 3D embroidery techniques that definitely attracts the eye to these splendid designs. These outfits definitely all glitz and glamour and would definitely make anyone stand out in them. Shobita Dhulipala looks nothing short of ethereal in this amazing silver outfit.

Rimzim Dadu’s Hydrochromic at Indian Couture Week

This was definitely one collection we couldn’t get our eyes off of! Look at the stunning pieces. These outfits were definitely unique and unlike anything seen before. Ananya Pandey as the show stopped looked gorgeous in the whole golden ensemble by Dadu. She’s played around with metallic threads with the whole outfit and has come up with some great designs. Her inspiration for these outfits has been water. She has tried paying homage to water by reflecting, form, power and versatility. She has played around with abstract designs to depict the ebb and flow of water as is very evident in this wavy pink and blue outfit. We sure are in love, what about you?

Dolly J’s Selene

Dolly J present her beautiful collection “Selene” for India Couture Week. With Disha Patani strutting the ramp as a show stopper her collection definitely looked transcendental. She has curated soft, flowy silhouettes taking inspiration from the moon. The moon is a timeless symbol of mystery, beauty and wonder and that is what she has tried to depict in her collection. You can say a play with pearls, metallic elements, silver sequins and more. All this definitely makes the outfits shine. The name is truly a representation of the collection for it is the name for the Greek goddess of the moon and that is exactly what this collection has effortlessly managed to depict.

Anamika Khanna

Anamika Khanna’s mesmerizing collection at India Couture Week 2023 captured the essence of timeless elegance and contemporary flair. With intricate embroideries, rich textures, and a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements, her designs unfolded a captivating narrative. The runway came alive with opulent ensembles adorned with delicate handwork and innovative silhouettes, reflecting Khanna’s signature style. The collection plays beautifully with colours and patterns and has a mix of gold metallics, emeralds pearls and more. What stands out if the use of the beautiful Khinkhab brocade which makes the outfits stand out. Athiya Shetty walked as the showstopper for this collection and definitely carried the outfit with immense poise.

Rahul Mishra’s captivating collection at India Couture Week 2023 resonated with poetic grace and artisanal brilliance. Drawing inspiration from nature’s finest intricacies, the designs showcased meticulous craftsmanship and intricate detailing. Therefore, you could see a beautiful play with florals and leaf motifs combined with modern-day 3D elements. Through a harmonious palette of colours and textures, his ensembles celebrated the relationship between tradition and innovation. Embellished with delicate handwork and exquisite embroideries, each piece exuded timeless elegance, leaving an indelible mark on the runway and reaffirming Mishra’s position as a maestro of couture craftsmanship. .

Falguni Shane Peacock Renaissance Reverie

The most loved and most awaited of them all was the stunning collection by Falguni Shane Peacock. We all were loving and fawning over Kiara Advani’s show-stopper look in that gorgeous pink trail skirt and bustier set. Their collection at India Couture Week was a mesmerizing tapestry of opulence and glamour. With a fusion of bold colours, shimmering metallics, and intricate embellishments, their designs exuded a magnetic allure. Showcasing a perfect blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary panache, the collection featured elaborate embroidery, ornate motifs, and innovative silhouettes that left a lasting impression.

Here are some trends we noticed and the India Couture week!

Fishtails

Designers artfully incorporated this elegant silhouette into their collections, infusing a touch of allure and drama. Fishtail gowns and lehengas gracefully cascaded, adding a contemporary twist to traditional couture and captivating fashion experts. From Kiara to Ananya to Disha, most of them could be seen with a trail at the ends of their dresses.

Bold Prints & Patterns

Vibrant and daring, bold prints and patterns took centre stage. No doubt, designers played around with and showcased intricate motifs, geometric designs, and vivid hues.

Capes

Capes were everywhere. Elegantly cascading down and adding oomph to the outfits that were on display. A number of designers incorporated some stunning capes in their collection and this trend is here to stay.

Androgynous Clothing

A trend we are all loving was androgynous clothing. We could see women adorning suits, blazers, bandhgalas, sherwanis and so much more. All this which is traditionally considered manly!
