Any wedding requires a tonne of preparations and organizing. And the only sure shot way of dealing with wedding day stress is to plan everything in advance and not leave anything for the last moment. To plan efficiently and make sure everything is covered, use checklists. Make checklists for everything – venue, shopping, decor, catering, every single thing. You can keep a track of everything that’s been taken care of and everything that still needs your attention. Also, carry this list to the venue on the D-day. This way you can cross check everything before you start getting ready to ensure that everything is sure shot.

You’ve done all your prep. You’ve taken care of everything that needed your attention. Now it’s time for you to focus on yourself. Getting a good night’s sleep before your main events is not only important to keep your stress hormones at bay, but is also essential for a healthy, glowing skin. Now of course you don’t want dull, tired looking skin on your wedding day, do you? So switch off your devices, light a candle, read a book and get yourself to sleep on time. Don’t stay up all night chatting with your fiance. You’ve got your whole life to do that, right?

We all know what starving and dehydration does to our body, right? On your wedding day, you have to be in your top shape, physically as well as mentally. And the first thing a bride or groom forgets on the D-day is to eat properly. So fuel up, eat properly and make sure you’re well hydrated throughout the day. This will not only give you the energy your body needs to get through the day, but will also keep you in a healthy and strong state of mind. It is going to be an emotionally and physically draining day. So start with a good, hearty breakfast and eat at short intervals throughout the day.

Delegate Wedding day Responsibilities

Another important point when avoiding wedding day stress is to assign responsibilities. Remember, you’re not alone. You have an army of friends and family who can help you get through the day peacefully. Once you’ve seen all the arrangements, make sure you assign tasks to your friends and family members. They can take care of any last minute arrangements and can be the communication point for the vendors. Instruct everyone strictly to not disturb you once you start getting ready so you can have your moment of peace and alone time. Let your brothers, sisters, friends and cousins take care of the rest of the arrangements for you.

Basically, surround yourself with your village. Spend time with your family and besties whenever you get the chance. Once the actual function starts, none of you will have the time to sit with each other and talk. So steal all the quality time you can before all the hustle bustle begins. Your loved ones know how to handle your stress and anxiety the best. So share your thoughts and feelings with them and let them cheer you up. In the morning, make sure you sit down with everyone and have a proper breakfast. This time will never come back and these are the memories that you will cherish the most.

Most Importantly, Focus on Enjoying the day With Your Partner
