The New York Fashion Week Fall 2021 went all digital this year because of the COVID restrictions. Designers used different formats to present their collections virtually. From zoom presentations to social media streaming and look book debuts, different designers used different formats to showcase their collections. Jason Wu and Rebecca Minkoff were the only designers that even opted for socially-distanced shows. 

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the unusual street-style and front-row celebrity looks. However, there are still plenty of standout looks from New York Fashion Week Fall 2021 to inspire you. Like every year, there are some new and emerging trends that we can’t wait to share with you all.

1. A little nostalgic – 80s Glamour

The New York Fashion Week Fall 2021 definitely made us nostalgic and reminded us of all the 80s trends. Prabal Gurung and Alexandra O’Neill were the trendsetters whose collection reflected that 80s vibe. 

2. Pink color blocking

Color blocking is a trend that will definitely stay for longer. Pink is a bright and peppy color. It is hugely used in color blocking and was highlighted at the show as well. Designers experimented with this peppy color to create such fun and quirky looks. These are some of the designers that highlighted this trend with their collection. 

3. The Sweater Vests and Big Knits

Designers blended these layers of winter fashion in their collection. From solid colors to geometric patterns and floral prints, the knit made its appearance in different ways. Layered over a skirt or a dress, sweater vests looked absolutely stunning. Apart from this, big knits were a part of the show.
